“Our RAID 5 server array failed during a rebuild, putting many important documents offline, which had not been replicated to our backup cloud service. Many thanks for the advice, and recovering all our data.”
John Denison, Dension Engineering, Hillingdon London
A RAID array containing five 1TB Seagate drives arrived from Hillingdon at our laboratory in Oxford. An examination of the drives revealed that all the drives were in working condition, but contained a number of bad sectors, which resulted in the rebuild failure.
A detailed examination of the sector-by-sector images of the drives by our RAID recovery specialists revealed a RAID 5 array architecture, for which a virtual RAID array was created. Further analysis found the RAID array contained a 7.5TB NTFS data volume, containing 2.4TB of data files.
